Canon Details	Once upon a time, a child named Ailen was born to a pair of innkeepers on Evermeet, the elf separatist island in the Forgotten Realms. Midway through their childhood, their cousins moved in with them and became their best friends. When their cousins left Evermeet to attend wizard school on the mainland, Ailen followed them. Then the Spellplagues happened and Evermeet up and vanished and they and their cousins were left stranded in the middle of the Sword Coast. Then they got kicked out of Candlekeep. They and their cousins spent time living out of a caravan and in Neverwinter, before their cousins settled in Phandalin. Ailen attempted to take on an adult's name (Nartanwe), involved themselves in a lot of Causes (such as anti-Dagult Neverember protests) and was almost murdered by their future brother-in-law. They turned adventurer after a bunch of shit happened in Phandalin while their cousins were away and eventually decided to go down into Undermountain, the megadungeon beneath Waterdeep. Unfortunately, TPK happened and to add insult to injury, they were transformed into a kind of bespoke skeleton harp to play music for a beholder gangster's fish. Eventually they were rescued and un-skellified, though not until they went back into Undermountain a second time. They then moved to Luskan, helped create the University there, became an advocate for drow rights, and settled into married life, eventually become foster parents alongside their husband.
